WII prepares the ACT Journal on behalf of the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA). The basic aim of the journal is to raise awareness on the latest conservation techniques, R&D efforts, and energy-efficient technologies at both national and international levels, especially in the oil sector. The journal largely covers issues pertaining to industrial, transport, commercial and domestic sectors - wherever oil is used. It also showcases PCRA’s research and outreach efforts, and demonstration projects in this area.

Cane Cogen India the first newsletter of its kind, was launched in October 1998 under USAID's Greenhouse Gas Pollution Prevention (GEP) Project's Alternative Bagasse Cogeneration component to disseminate information on the demonstration and commercialization of high-efficiency cogeneration in sugar mills utilizing bagasse and other alternative biomass fuels, rather than fossil fuels, for year-round operation. Articles focus on technical, financing and policy issues with illustrative case studies from India and abroad, and on the dual benefits of utilizing alternative biomass fuels - electricity export and carbon dioxide mitigation.
